Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa
Activities
  • Tennis: There is an on-site tennis courts at the resort for day and night use.
  • Ocean Swimming: Seventeen beaches grace the coasts of Los Cabos. All beaches on the Pacific shore, such as Playa Solmar, Playa del Amor and even the Pacific side of Land's End are not safe for swimming or snorkeling, due to the swift ocean currents and powerful waves. However, there are many wonderful beaches along the shores of the Sea of Cortez that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The beach next to Marina Fiesta is fine for swimming, snorkeling, and beach activities.
  • Golf: Guests have access to two close-by championship golf courses! Enjoy great golfing at the18-hole professional Cabo Del Sol ocean course, designed by Jack Nicklaus and ranked in Golf Magazine's "Top 100 Courses of the World". Cabo Del Sol features challenging oceanfront holes, and offers sweeping views of the desert hills and Sea of Cortez. There are several championship golf courses in the Los Cabos region: The Robert Trent Jones-designed Cabo Real course; the Jack Nicklaus-designed El Dorado Golf Club; the Tom Fazio-designed Querencia Golf course; and the Tom Weiskopf-designed eighteen-hole Desert Course at Cabo del Sol. Los Cabos has been the site of PGA Senior Tournaments and attracts many of the great senior PGA golfers. The magnificent terrain is comparable to that found in Arizona and California desert golf courses. Los Cabos is especially beautiful due to the presence of the Sea of Cortez, a stretch of indescribable blue water bordering many of the courses. And with eleven months out of the year having clear skies, there is a lot of good weather for golfing.
  • Spa: The Marina Fiesta is home to a full Spa featuring European treatments. The Spa includes a complete fitness center. Private lockers, robe and sandals are provided to each guest. Enjoy the Jacuzzi and sauna! Treatments include massages, skin therapy, body wraps, waxing, and manicure and pedicure treatments. Receive the finest in facials as well. The Spa team is ready to make your spa experience wonderful!
  • Children's Activities: There are some organized children's activities at this resort. There are also baby-sitting services upon request.
  • Pools: Resort has two beautiful free-form heated outdoor pools. Complimentary lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and towels are provided all throughout the pool areas. The "Palapa" swim-up bar is a hit with guests as well, serving cold drinks and snacks.

  • Water Sports: Enjoy sailing and boating, windsurfing, snorkeling on the coast of the Sea of Cortez, kayaking, beach volleyball, body boarding. Also available are many motorized water sports, including parasailing and jet skiing. The best snorkeling can be found at these beaches: Santa Maria, Chileno, Roca Pelicano, Costa Azul, Playa Palmilla, and Cabo Pulmo. Surfing is good at Costa Azul or Zipper Beach, and at Cabo Bello.
  • Beach: The beach area by the Marina Fiesta Resort is safe for swimming, snorkeling, and all other beach activities. Enjoy sunbathing, strolling along the beach, jogging, brilliant sunsets, and soft starry nights. The Sea of Cortez in this area maintains an average 75F water temperature! All Los Cabos beaches are open to the public. Some have great surfing; others are relatively calm. For swimming, consider beaches such as Playa Bledito, Playa Medano, and Playa Palmilla in Cabo San Lucas, which have very safe swimming conditions.
  • Deep Dea Fishing: September through November is the best time of the year to fish in Los Cabos area, although anytime of year there is fishing. No other place in the world outdoes Cabo San Lucas for the number and variety of fish caught year-round. Haven't ever really fished before? No worries! This area is a great place to learn and feel the thrill of your first sport-fishing excursion. Experienced guides will show you all the ropes and help you net your big catch. Already a fishing veteran? Then you can start working all the sooner on reeling in your prize catch. A fishing outing gives you an opportunity to view Los Cabos and its landmarks from a different perspective...from the sea looking landward...and also allows you to get a close-up look at whales, dolphins, and seals.
  • Fitness Center: The fitness center offers a complete line of strength equipment, cardiovascular equipment, and free weights. Treadmills, stair climbers, upright and recumbent bikes and modern elliptical machine are available.

  • Shopping: Los Cabos has literally dozens of fun shops and stores! Visit Cabo San Lucas and shop the many stores along the Main Avenue downtown. Stroll the peaceful streets of San Jose del Cabo with its small cluster of unique shops. Whether you're looking for barber and beauty-hairdresser shops, newsstand and books, travel agencies, precious stones and silver or other jewelry, clothing and swimwear, Mexican handicrafts, hammocks, gifts and souvenirs, leather products, shoes, tequila, or cigars, you'll find it.
  • Diving and Snorkeling: Many underwater adventurers have described the Sea of Cortez as "The World's Richest Sea". There is an astonishing diversity of fish and marine wildlife, as major currents (the California current, Panamic current, and the North Equatorial Countercurrent) mix at the southern tip of the Baja California and feed this coastal region with an abundance of rich nutrients necessary to sustain such a large underwater ecosystem. The waters are teeming with life in a myriad of colors and varieties. All of this makes for great diving and snorkeling. Beginner and advanced divers will enjoy the challenges near Land's End. Visibility ranges from 30 to 50 feet in winter months, to over 100 feet from April through October. The Abyss, about 100 feet from the arch, is recommended for advanced divers only. The North and South Wall are also popular canyons with steep granite walls and ledges. Some of the more popular dives are ANEGADA: 90 foot dive, terrific for night diving; LA PUNTA: 60-foot dive, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet, with sightings of whale shark, manta rays, and sea turtles; LA LARGA: Spectacular sand cascades and a reef; EL BENTARRON: 66-foot dive, excellent rock formations; CABO PULMO: A living marina of unique fish and stunning coral; and PUNTA GORDA: 160-foot dives, the great diving location for marine life.
  • Exploration and Sight Seeing: The Gray Whale is found in Arctic feeding grounds between April and November and in Mexican waters from December to April. Between October and February they migrate south, returning north again between February and July. Enjoy some marvelous whale watching during their annual migrations -- one of many reasons to make a stay at the Marina Fiesta Resort one of your annual migrations! A must see is "El Arco", the perfect stone arch carved by the constant waves and breezes at the southernmost tip of the magnificent Baja Peninsula. This is a truly stunning site, where the desert meets the sea, a tip of paradise known as Land's End.
  • Climbing: Try some real adventure! Guided repelling and rock climbing tours can be enjoyed on some of the spectacular rock formations close by the beach. Expert guides are trained in latest safety techniques and pay strict attention to details to make sure you enjoy an exhilarating and safe outing.
  • Mountain Biking and ATV: Mountain bikes can be rented and are a fun way to discover the desert area around Los Cabos. Obtain a detailed map, pack your lunch, and you're off on a close-up look at the rugged terrain. You can also rent ATVs and ride through ecological reserves along a network of trails. With plenty of well-marked trails and low speeds, you'll have plenty of chances to savor the views of the Sea of Cortez, discover the plants and animals in this unique environment, and see Los Cabos from a rare perspective.
  • Surfing: Excellent surfing is to be had at Los Cabos! Some of the famous surf breaks in Los Cabos include Monumento (Monuments Beach), Costa Azul / Zippers, Acapulquito, La Roca, El Tule, and Cerritos...from beginner to expert level surfing. Enjoy some fabulous surfing during your stay!
  • Hiking: Desert hiking is best in the winter when temperatures are more temperate; however, summer hiking can be enjoyed in the early morning. See how beautiful the desert really is, how delicate the ecosystem is, and admire the interesting geological formations. There's a lot more in the desert than first meets the eye. So get your water, sunscreen and hat, and happy exploring!
  • Entertainment: Nightlife in the Los Cabos region can be anything from rowdy to relaxing, depending on whether you frequent the bars, cantinas, and discos or prefer quiet relaxation or a night stroll under the stars. There are many places to enjoy live jazz and other music, salsa dancing, and listing to roaming Mariachis playing Mexican songs.
