Exploration and Sight Seeing: The Gray Whale is found in Arctic feeding grounds between April and November and in Mexican waters from December to April. Between October and February they migrate south, returning north again between February and July. Enjoy some marvelous whale watching during their annual migrations -- one of many reasons to make a stay at the Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Resort one of your annual migrations! A must see is “El Arco”, the perfect stone arch carved by the incessant waves and breezes at the southernmost tip of the magnificent Baja Peninsula. This is a truly stunning site, where the desert meets the sea, a tip of paradise known as Land’s End.

Diving and Snorkeling: Many underwater adventurers have described the Sea of Cortez as “The World’s Richest Sea”. There is an astonishing diversity of fish and marine wildlife, as major currents (the California current, Panamic current, and the North Equatorial Countercurrent) mix at the southern tip of the Baja California and feed this coastal region with an abundance of rich nutrients necessary to sustain such a large underwater ecosystem. The waters are teeming with life in a myriad of colors and varieties. All of this makes for great diving and snorkeling. Beginner and advanced divers will enjoy the challenges near Land's End. Visibility ranges from 30 to 50 feet in winter months, to over 100 feet from April through October. The Abyss, about 100 feet from the arch, is recommended for advanced divers only. The North and South Wall are also popular canyons with steep granite walls and ledges. Some of the more popular dives are ANEGADA: 90 foot dive, terrific for night diving; LA PUNTA: 60-foot dive, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet, with sightings of whale shark, manta rays, and sea turtles; LA LARGA: Spectacular sand cascades and a reef; EL BENTARRON: 66-foot dive, excellent rock formations; CABO PULMO: A living marina of unique fish and stunning coral; and PUNTA GORDA: 160-foot dives, the great diving location for marine life.

And with eleven months out of the year having clear skies, there is a lot of good weather for golfing.

See how beautiful the desert really is, see jackrabbits and rattlesnakes, gaze at interesting geological formations. There’s a lot more out there on the desert trail than first meets the eye. So get your water, sunscreen and hat, and enjoy!

December, January, and February can have some wind, but the days are nice and sunny (there is also more chance of rain showers). March is warmer, with temperatures ranging from 70° to 85° (water temperatures around 65°). April and October are hot, and temperatures can reach 90° F during the day.
